Pink Fused Aluminium Oxide
Pink Fused Alumina, also called Pink Fused Aluminium Oxide, Chromium Aluminum Oxide, abbreviated as "PA",
belongs to the group of artificial corundum. It's made from fusion of high purity alumina powder and chromium oxide
in electric arc furnace. Because of its chrome content, it's a pink color material. Its main content is Aluminium
Oxide(Al2O3), with little content(about 0.7% Chromium Oxide and about 0.3% Sodium Oxide(Na2O).
Production process:
The smelting process of PA is the same with WA, except that the addition amount of chromium in the smelting
process, as a pale purple or pink. Since the introduction of chromium Cr3 +,it improved the toughness of abrasive,
it’s higher than WA.For greater toughness machining materials, the processing efficiency is better than WA. PA is
suitable for processing high toughness of hardened steel, alloy steel, precision measuring instruments and other
parts which require high toughness finish of the work pieces.
